Light and Bright

Having plenty of light within the house helps make it a home. At night have all the lights on and during the day open up the blinds. This will not only warm up the feel of your home, but also takes away hard shadows and other distractions for buyers.

Take a Walk

Many buyers feel as though they are intruding when the seller is present. Allow the realtor to show off your home and for the buyers to feel as though it was their own home. Perhaps run errands or take a walk while the buyers enjoy the home buying experience

The Scent of a Sale

Buyers are not only looking when they go to buy, you want to entice all their senses. One thing that people often forget is what home smells like. You may want to have a pot roast cooking while people roam through your home. Perhaps have cookies just out of the oven. If creating a mean with a sweet smell is too much work you can get away with heating a little vanilla in your oven before a buyer comes through your home.
